Desks accounted for 2% and other home office generated 1% of furniture store sales in 2008.

Consumers and home office
If money were no object in 2009, 26% of U.S. consumers would redecorate their home office.
Nearly nine out of ten responding consumers have purchased Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture and out of that group, 70% have purchased an RTA desk, while 66% have purchased RTA other home office furniture.
Less than half of responding consumers have purchased furniture online. Of those who have, 11% bought a desk online.
