HIGH POINT — Mike Root, president of marketing consulting firm Get Customers Right Now, is hosting a free webinar this Thursday to discuss strategies that retailers should be using in today's tough economic climate.

Sev Ritchie, a partner in The Kaleidoscope Partnership, a provider of social media solutions to the home furnishings and related industries, will join Root in the presentation. They will focus on how retailers can use new media, including social media like Facebook and Twitter, in their marketing.

Root, who also is a sales rep and Furniture/Today blogger, gave a seminar on the topic at the recent High Point Market. The webinar is set for 7 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, Nov. 4.
