Japan: January bedroom furniture imports increased 22% year-on-year to 188 million yuan

The import value of Japanese office furniture is about 16.52 million yuan, down 8% year-on-year.

According to a recent report by the International Tropical Timber Organization, in January this year, Japanese bedroom furniture imports were approximately 188 million yuan, an increase of 22% year-on-year; office furniture imports were approximately 16.52 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8%.
 
Among them, in terms of office furniture, Japan imported 11.77 million yuan from China, accounting for 71.2% of the total imports. The share of imports from Poland and Portugal ranked second and third.
 
In terms of bedroom furniture, bedroom furniture imported from China has the largest total value of 107 million yuan, accounting for 55% of the total imports. Followed by Vietnam, accounting for 35%.
