This is the worst data since the 2008 financial crisis and the first time GDP growth has been negative since 2014. US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said this week that the U.S. economy should "really rebound" this summer as states cancel their home orders and trillions of dollars in federal emergency spending. But most independent economists are much less optimistic.
