ICFF, the contemporary design fair that is part of NYCxDesign, New York City’s official citywide celebration of design, opens tomorrow at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. It runs through May 17.
ICFF, the contemporary design fair that is part of NYCxDesign, New York City’s official citywide celebration of design, opens tomorrow at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. It runs through May 17.
Now in its 28th year, ICFF will showcase contemporary furniture, seating, flooring, lighting, wall coverings, kitchen and bath and more for both residential and commercial interiors. More than 750 exhibitors from across the world will be at the show. In addition, contingents from Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Brazilian Furniture, British European Design Group (BEDG), Ceramics of Italy, Design Philippines, Furniture New York, The Furniture Society (U.S.), Inside Norway, Interiors from Spain and Portugal Brands will be there as well.
Among the events are ICFF Talks, which runs throughout the show. On Sunday, May 15, that includes “Collective Innovation: Embracing Collaboration in (Home Furnishing) Design,” moderated by Maxwell Ryan of Apartment Therapy and discussing Ikea’s new collaborative design process, with Mikael Ydholm of Ikea Group on the panel; and “Designing for the Modern Lifestyle: The Intersection of Technology and Design in the Kitchen & Bath,” moderated by Jaime Derringer of Design Milk. On Monday, May 16, presentations include “Designing Retail Stores for Today’s Savvy Shopper,” which will include panelists from Vera Bradley, Saks Fifth Avenue and Richemont.
