Winner of the 2011 Interior Innovation Award, the Bed Somnia is an inspirational design coming from the Vitamin Design studio. The bed design surprises with its interesting headboard placement which offers a special bed display area that can be used for storing various stuff, thus replacing the nightstand altogether. You could even go ahead and plant a little garden inside that particular area, although that may not be the best choice for your modern bedroom. What’s even more interesting is that because of this headboard placement the bed doesn’t have to be “mounted” on a wall anymore and it could be placed in the center of the bedroom, a position it’s certainly entitled to have.
