Universal Furniture launches Bellamy girl's bedroom
HIGH POINT — Universal Furniture is launching Bellamy, a new youth furniture line, this week that is
Bellamy is the company's seventh collection in its SmartStuff line. The girl's bedroom comes in a white finish and is priced within the same range as the current line.
This is the second time in two years the company has launched a youth group over the summer. Last year, it introduced the Paula Deen Kids line in early July and had it in production over the summer months as well.
Universal says the Bellamy line "has traditional European and American silhouettes and a touch of timeless Victorian elegance" and "embodies vintage simplicity." It includes five beds, along with chests, dressers, mirrors, a pair of desks and also a pair of seats, a Swivel Vanity Seat and a Chair with Storage Seat.
Other pieces include an armoire, a bookcase and an accent chair.
Universal's reps will receive marketing materials, including product photography, specs and pricing, to take with them on the road this week.
"Everything that is available to them at a High Point Market will be available to them July 8," said Kevin Miller, Universal's brands manager. "We are arming them with everything they need and they will be able to hit the road and make a presentation to their youth retailers and give them an opportunity to make a decision if it is right for their retail floor."
He said the company decided to repeat the summer launch due to the success with the Paula Deen Kids line last year.
