Naturepedic introduces more infant mattress sizes
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Big growth opportunities loom in the infant mattress category, says infant and children's bedding producer Naturepedic.
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Big growth opportunities loom in the infant mattress category, says infant and children's bedding producer Naturepedic.
The organic bedding producer, based here, recently researched the bassinet, cradle and mini-crib marketplace and found about 20 sizes of infant mattresses being offered.
Naturepedic has committed to meeting the needs of all of those infant bedding consumers, noting that it will provide the full spectrum of mattresses used in baby and children's beds. "No matter what bed a child is sleeping on," said Barry Cik, Naturepedic's founder, "Naturepedic will provide a certified organic mattress that is designed to fit the indicated bed model."
Parents looking for new or replacement bedding for some of those bedding sizes are disappointed when they can't find the bedding they need, Cik said.
Retail pricing for the line begins at $59. Naturepedic said it has lowered the prices for these mattresses, aiming to grow this portion of its business, particularly for parents who want organic and greener bedding choices.
All Naturepedic mattresses are certified organic and are certified to the Greenguard "Children and Schools" standard and the new more stringent Greenguard "Select" standard, the company said. Founded in 2001, the Greenguard Environmental Institute certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions, which helps create cleaner air indoors.
