SHANGHAI, China — To meet what it says is a growing demand for textile products in China, German trade show organizer Messe Frankfurt is launching its third textile trade show in the country at the INTEX Shanghai and Shanghaimart April 2-4.
The new Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition will offer domestic suppliers and buyers of decorative fabrics and bedding a professional platform to do business, the organizers said.
Held in spring, a traditional sourcing period for bedding and upholstery fabrics, the event has already attracted over 190 exhibitors from the manufacturing zones of Yuhang and Haining in China, they said. The new event will be a sister show to the existing Intertextile Guangzhou Home Textile China and Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles shows.
"The synergy effects of these three shows will deliver even more opportunities for suppliers and buyers to boost their business domestically and internationally," said Wendy Wen, director.
The Guangzhou textile show, held in conjunction with the largest furniture exhibition in Asia, the China International Furniture Fair, and four other home related events, is set for March 18-21. The autumn version of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is scheduled for Aug. 29-31.
