FMG Symposium set for Jan. 21-23 in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Sessions on retail tactics and strategies, along with panel discussions on generating store traffic and innovative ways to use the Internet, will highlight the Furniture Marketing Group's annual Symposium here Jan. 21-23.
The event, to be held at the Aria Resort, will take place just before the Las Vegas Market, which opens Jan. 24. FMG says it is expecting its largest crowd ever at the Symposium.
Industry consultants and FMG retailers will take part in the panel discussions. Also on the program are a best ideas session, vendor roundtables and guest speakers.
Keynote speakers Rich Kizer and Georganne Bender of Kizer and Bender Speaking will offer ideas on retail strategies and tactics in their talk, "Neutralizing Your Competition: Strategies to Pull Customers Close, Maximize Sales and Increase Profits!" According to FMG, Kizer and Bender will offer tips and techniques to improve a store's operation, thrill customers and dramatically improve the bottom line.
Jeff Hiller of JB Training Solutions will present a seminar titled "Everyone on Board: Management and Sales Strategy 2011." This workshop is based on open book management, providing step by step instruction for effective goal setting, securing staff buy-in, and ensuring accountability while keeping stores a fun, friendly place to do business.
