The annual Fall Furniture market is back in High Point. Exhibitors from 110 countries will be on hand with their products.
Market Authority President and CEO Brian Casey said he sees a lot of energy among exhibitors and retailers this year and has a very optimistic outlook. "We've been hearing some very positive things from both exhibitors and reps in terms of the number of appointments they have and the number of buyers they are expecting here in town for the next week," said Casey. He believes there is pent up demand and the new furnishings at the market will hopefully get consumers to buy.
Some of the trends Casey sees for this year include downsizing and consolidating rooms, the effect of home electronics on form and function in homes and the desire for high quality. Casey also believes the competition from the market in Las Vegas has made them better focus on everything they do in High Point.
