Home Depot invests US$1.2 billion to improve its supply chain and build three new distribution centers

The Home Depot will build about 150 distribution centers across the United States to meet the unique needs of different retail customers.

On August 10, as part of a $1.2 billion investment in improving the supply chain, Home Depot announced the completion of three distribution centers in Maryland, the United States.


The three distribution centers are located in the Tradepoint Atlantic Development Zone in Baltimore, a key hub for Home Depot’ s delivery and supply, covering an area of 810,000 feet (approximately 74,000 square meters), which will bring nearly 500 jobs to the local area and provide customers in the region faster delivery options.


The Home Depot' s $1.2 billion investment in improving supply chain issues will build about 150 distribution centers across the United States to meet the unique needs of different retail customers.


"We focus on creating a simpler and more convenient shopping experience for our customers' home improvement needs, whether they are shopping online or offline," said Stephanie Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Home Depot.


"By investing in our supply chain, we will continue to meet the changing expectations of our professional and DIY customers - bringing us closer to our goal of providing same-day and next-day delivery to 90% of the U.S. population."
