Home Depot invests $8.7 billion in former subsidiary

US home improvement retail giant Home Depot has announced that it will spend around $8.7 billion (the final offer is subject to change) to acquire HD Supply.

On Monday, the US home improvement retail giant Home Depot announced that it would spend around $8.7 billion (the final offer is subject to change) to acquire HD Supply, the Wall Street Journal reported.

 

Home Depot has a long history with HD Supply, which Home Depot built, but in 2007, separated from the Home Depot Group and sold to a third party for $8.5 billion. After almost 13 years of ups and downs, HD Supply is back under the Home Depot banner.
