Cologne exhibition announced: ORGATEC office furniture exhibition, will debut in Japan in 2022
This is Japan's first exhibition dedicated to the business and home office industries.
Recently, Cologne Exhibition announced that it plans to introduce the well-known brand exhibition ORGATEC to Japan in 2022 as part of its furniture and design product portfolio globalization strategy.
It is reported that the first Japan office furniture exhibition ORGATEC TOKYO is jointly organized by Cologne Exhibition Japan and Japan Office Furniture Association JOIFA. This will be Japan' s first exhibition dedicated to the commercial and home office industries.
In addition to ORGATEC's traditional exhibition area, the interzum theme exhibition area will highlight related office furniture components, accessories and materials. Lnterzum is a leading platform for the furniture production and interior construction industry, providing a major source of innovation for shaping future living spaces. The exhibition activities will also feature seminars and trend zones to encourage event participants to have new ideas and inspiration for modern workspaces.
ORGATEC TOKYO aims to be a trade show that redefines the way we work in the coming years.
From 2021 to 2025, the Japanese office furniture market is expected to grow at a compound growth rate of 3.96%. In addition, Japan is the main producer and consumer of office furniture in the Asia-Pacific region(excluding China), accounting for 50% of the total production and consumption in the region. Most importantly, Japan is synonymous with quality and innovation, and Japan is often used as a test market before products are expanded to other Asian markets.
Akihiro Kuroda, Chairman of Japan Office Furniture Association JOIFA, said: "We have seen strong demand for high-quality trade fairs in the office furniture industry in the Asian market, and we are very excited about organizing ORGATEC in Japan next year. Although the international office furniture trade is largely affected by the COVID-19 pneumonia, there are initial signs of recovery in the second half of 2020, and the Asia-Pacific market is expected to show a higher rebound from 2021."
"The COVID-19 pneumonia has brought tremendous changes to our lives and the traditional office industry. Many people work from home and work arrangements are more flexible. We see great growth potential in this field because more and more companies are changing their current office setting, which makes it more versatile, with flexible co-working space and more home office solutions. In order to further improve the work efficiency of employees, the demand for such furniture is constantly growing." Cologne Exhibition Japan Managing Director Makoto Takagi commented.
As the first exhibition, ORGATEC TOKYO aims to attract more than 150 leading brands and 20,000 trade visitors from Japan, neighboring countries and major cities in the Asia-Pacific region.
