The home kit Airbnb Host Essentials for Airbnb hosts is priced at US$400.
The popular accommodation booking website Airbnb has partnered with Muji to provide a series of affordable and avant-garde designs, Airbnb Host Essentials, for home rental hosts.
The $400 package includes 23 products and can be used by one or two guests. These include porcelain dining table sets, glasses and tableware, bathroom and closet products such as towels, hangers and cleaning utensils, as well as the most popular products in MUJI such as notebooks, pens and aroma diffusers used as guestbooks.
When designing this set, MUJI and Airbnb referred to a survey of 1,000 travelers, including questions such as "what makes the stay more enjoyable and memorable".
The survey results showed that 68% of people said that “thoughtful and unique convenience facilities” would make them give a more positive evaluation of leasing, and 43% said that the “comfortable touch” of home furnishing products improved the evaluation of landlords from ordinary to excellence.
MUJI president of the United States and Canada said: “Airbnb’s commitment to hospitality and its mission to provide guests and hosts with authentic and positive experiences is at the core of our cooperation. We are very happy to create a home set that can realize this concept."
