US's Wayfair Launches E-Design Program

Starts at $79 for a one-room project

Wayfair, an online retailer of home furnishings and décor, has launched Design Services, an e-design platform. Starting at $79 for a one-room project and available on desktop and mobile, Design Services connects interior designers with Wayfair customers who are looking for convenient and affordable design solutions.

 

“With Design Services, Wayfair is helping connect the dots for customers who are designing an entirely new space or simply redecorating,” said Blair Kenary, Wayfair’s head of Design Services.

 

To meet the needs of all Wayfair customers, Design Services is available in two packages: Lite and Classic. With every Wayfair Design Services package, customers are able to collaborate one-on-one both online and over the phone with an interior designer for a completely personalized experience.

 

The Lite offering for $79 works for customers who know how to arrange a space but want help selecting products to complete the look. The Classic package, which is $149, includes extra phone time with the designer, a custom floor plan and 2D room design rendering.

 

To get started, customers select a package, complete a brief style survey sharing their preferences and goals, and choose a designer from the Wayfair team to work with on the project. Customers and designers work closely together to review concepts, room designs and shopping lists as a part of this collaborative effort, while communicating via Wayfair’s messaging platform, as well as by phone. Design Services clients can also call on the company’s customer service team to assist with any product orders.

 

As a benefit to the interior designers on the team, Wayfair’s Design Services program allows them to expand their portfolio, earn extra income and create a desirable work/life balance by making their own schedule.
