ASFD announces Pinnacle Award finalists

The American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) announced the finalists for the 2016 Pinnacle Awards. Among the 59 finalists in 15 categories, three casual companies were recognized.

 

 

The American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) announced the finalists for the 2016 Pinnacle Awards. 

 

Among the 59 finalists in 15 categories, three casual companies were recognized.

 

In the Summer/Casual category, the finalists are:


• Array Modular Seating by John Caldwell ASFD for Texacraft Furniture Company


• Edge Indoor/Outdoor Modular Privacy Seating by John Caldwell ASFD for Texacraft Furniture Company


• Edgewood by Frederic Spector ASFD and Alan Antonelli for Lane Venture


• Grid Sofa by Henrik Pedersen for Gloster Furniture

 

The winners will be revealed during an awards banquet ceremony held Oct. 24, during the fall High Point Market. Tickets can be purchased at asfd.com.

 

“The 21st Annual ASFD Pinnacle Awards dinner promises to be our most exciting to date," says Jason Phillips, ASFD president.

 

The banquet will be hosted by Bill McLoughlin, editor in chief of Casual Living sister publication Furniture/Today, with a keynote speaker to be announced soon.

 

Furniture/Today serves as the major underwriter of the annual ASFD Pinnacle Awards. AutoDesk and International Market Centers (IMC) serve as underwriters of the ASFD Student Pinnacle. 2016 Pinnacle Award sponsors include Continental Hardware, Furniture Design Studios, HSM Solutions, High Point Market Authority, Home Furnishings Business, Leggett & Platt Inc., Rooms To Go and Sherwin-Williams Co.
