Art Van Furniture's second annual slumber-themed 'Ladies' Night Out' event promises to refresh your routine and revolutionize your sleep style. The free, fact-filled event is designed to improve lives and wellness through better sleep, and will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, at Art Van Furniture's Shelby Township location at 14055 Hall Road.
Undiagnosed sleep disorders affect an estimated 70 percent of people who routinely struggle with sleep and can range in severity from sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome to narcolepsy. Three respected sleep specialists will provide free consultations to help attendees improve their health by addressing their nightly sleep issues and common sleep disorders. The three specialists include:
- Dr. Gregory Haggquist, scientist, polymer chemist and founder of Cocona Inc.'s revolutionary 37.5 bedding system
- Dr. Martha A. Frankowski, board certified neurologist and sleep specialist who specializes in sleep disorders and acts as Medical Director of Sleep & Live Well Diagnostic Center
- Dr. Paul T. Hoff, an ear, nose and throat surgeon from the St. Joseph Mercy Comprehensive Sleep Disorder Center
Additionally, guests are invited to take the Art Van PureSleep diagnostic test, which utilizes patented technology and more than 20 years of research to create a personalized sleep system in just five minutes.
"The right mattress means deep sleep, which translates into a fully recharged body so you can perform your best each day," saidDavid Van, President of Art Van PureSleep. "We understand that how you sleep is how you rise, and that quality sleep—or the lack of it—affects nearly every part of our lives, from health and wellness to happiness and success at work and home."
The sleep-themed soiree is a dream come true for men and women who could use better sleep, from sleep-deprived new parents and night owls to those suffering from back pain or couples whose incompatible sleep styles keep each other awake. Well-known Detroit TV personality Lila Lazarus will host the "Ladies' Night Out" event, which will feature custom sleep tests and consultations, along with relaxing massages, yoga and meditation practitioners, herbal tea tastings, healthy culinary stations, the best sleep-inducing foods, essential oils, prize drawings and more.
The event is open to men and women who are at least 21 years of age. Reservations are required and can be made through EventBrite. For more information on Art Van Furniture, please visit www.artvan.com.
