The newest Chicagoland store of Art Van will open on March 2
The 11th Chicagoland store of Art Van Furniture will open on March 2.
GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. — Art Van Furniture will cut the ribbon on its 11th Chicagoland store here March 2.
The roughly 42,000-square-foot showroom will open at 125 E. Army Trail Rd. after renovations to the space, which was previously occupied by Sports Authority.
In a statement, Kim Yost, CEO of the Top 100 Warren, Mich.-based company, said Art Van is eager to bring its selection of home furnishings to the area, and “We plan to play an active role in the community as we enhance people’s lives as well as their homes.”
The store will create more than 50 full- and part-time jobs, and will include Art Van’s PureSleep and Urban departments.
The 5:30 p.m. open house and 6 p.m. ribbon cutting will be hosted by local radio personalities, and Yost, Chamber of Commerce and other local representatives will be on hand, too. The following weekend, festivities will include complimentary refreshments, clowns and live entertainment.
Art Van Furniture’s Chicagoland stores are located in Batavia, Bedford Park, Chicago (Logan Square), Downers Grove, Naperville, Orland Park, Rockford and Woodridge, Ill.; and Merrillville and Portage, Ind.
