Italian brand Pedrali has added an enclosed seating system, envisioned by Milanese design trio Busetti Garuti Redaelli, to its Buddy furniture range.

Named Buddy Hub, the seat is available as an armchair or an elongated sofa, wrapped with a sound-absorbing panel to create privacy for those using it.

Created by industrial designers Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli, Buddy Hub features plump, rounded upholstery perched on black aluminium legs.

The design can be finished in a range of different Pedrali fabrics, making it suitable for lounge areas and waiting rooms as well as offices.

Busetti Garuti Redaelli's design is an extension of the existing Buddy range, which includes various kinds of rounded seating.

"The latest addition to the Buddy family – in which a wrap-around, sound-absorbing panel envelops the seat in a sort of enclosed niche – maintains the friendly and playful design of the successful collection of poufs first launched in 2017 while increasing their versatility," said the brand.
