The total value of China's foreign trade in the first half of this year was RMB14.67 trillion, up by 3.9% compared with the same period, Li Kuiwen, spokesman for General Administration of Customs, P.R. China, said on June 12, 2019. Among which, the export value was RMB7.95 trillion, increased by 6.1%; and the import value was RMB6.72 trillion, increased by 1.4%; the trade surplus was RMB1.23 trillion with an increase of 41.6%.
From January to June, the total export volume of furniture and its parts reached RMB179.39 billion, up by 8.3% year on year; exports fell by 6.4% in June to RMB31.07 billion.
The total exports of furniture, lamps, lighting devices and parts, textiles and plastics in June totaled RMB149.36 billion, down by 6.3% month-on-month; from January to June, the cumulative export volume reached RMB830.87 billion, up by 10.5% year-on-year.
