90% of China furniture capacity come from 5 major furniture industry areas
After developing for many years, China’s furniture market has formed the certain industry scale.
In China, the sustained and rapid economic development, the continuously increasing per capita income level of residents and the continuously accelerating urbanization construction progress have provide the good development conditions for China’s furniture industry. After developing for many years, China’s furniture market has formed the certain industry scale.
Five furniture industry clusters have appeared, and they are Pearl River Delta Furniture Industry Area, Yangtze River Delta Furniture Industry Area, Circum-Bohai-Sea Furniture Industry Area, Northeast Furniture Industry Area and West Furniture Industry Area respectively, where 90% of China’s furniture capacity has been centralized.
In such 5 furniture industry areas, South China and East China Industry Areas are two major industry areas with the largest output and the highest export amount, and Guangdong Province and Zhejiang Province are the large production and export provinces of furniture in China. Guangdong Province has formed the important base of furniture production, supporting and sales, and has formed China’s largest furniture distributing center with over 6,000 furniture enterprises and more than 1,000,000 employees. In Zhejiang Province, there are over 3,000 furniture enterprises and more than 500,000 employees. In recent years, a batch of large-scale furniture enterprises have emerged and had the widely influence both at home and abroad.
