The sixth China Shenyang International Furnishings Expo will take place at Shenyang International Exposition Center from Aug 5 to 7.

The exposition, which is one of the most influential events in the furniture industry, aims to enhance international business and to develop the Northeast Asian markets.

The exhibition area contains eight exhibition halls, enough for over 700 exhibitors. It is estimated that the number of visitors will reach 110,000.

This year’s expo will include diverse exhibits brought by world famous companies and college students, of which 70 percent are new to the market.

The sponsors of the exhibition have also invited participation by various companies from diverse countries including Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Russia and Mongolia.

Besides all kinds of brands and furniture, the displays will also feature the "intelligent homes" being developed today. More furniture and devices for intelligent homes will be invented in the future and the quality will continue to improve.

In addition, to satisfy different people’s consumption demands, this year’s event set aside an area of 40,000 square meters for customized furniture, where over 200 businesses will display their latest products and services.

During the exhibition period, Shenyang will also hold the Third China Modern Furniture Industry Forum and the Sixth China Shenyang International Furniture Design Competition.
