China's forestry trade volume reached 70.97 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of this year, up 10.8 percent year on year.
China's forestry trade volume reached 70.97 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of this year, up 10.8 percent year on year, official data showed Monday.
Total value of the forestry sector's output reached 2.77 trillion yuan, up 7.4 percent year on year, according to China's State Forestry Administration (SFA).
China's forest parks saw about 700 million visits in the first six months of this year, up 16.7 percent year on year and creating output value worth 550 billion yuan.
The SFA will allow some demonstration areas to develop forestry tourism and other sub-sectors as well as accelerating the establishment of industrial investment funds and private equity projects supporting emerging and strategic forestry sub-sectors.
China's forestry aims to see its total industrial output value reach 8.7 trillion yuan by 2020, according to the development plan for the period of 2016 to 2020.
