Creative designs shining on Furniture China, Shanghai
At the Furniture China (China International Furniture Fair), September 10 to 14 in Shanghai, visitors are impressed by the creative designs presented by the exhibitors from China, USA, France, Germany, Belgium, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and other countries.

In recent years, the organizers of the fair have been making a lot of effort to encourage the original design furniture, and rewards were issued to those excellent products. Since 2012, a hall called Design of Designers was specially opened to display designers’ furniture series.
In 2014, Furniture China cooperated with the Red Dot Design Reward originated in Germany and renamed the furniture design reward as Golden Dot Design Reward. Mr Peter Zec, the president of Red Dot Design Reward showed up on the opening day of the fair and unveiled the winners list of the Golden Dot Design Reward.

Headquartered in Beijing, Qumei was well-known for its contemporary wooden furniture. However this year, Qumei debuts a totally new brand entitled Wanwu, means everything in Chinese. The Committee Special Award of Golden Dot goes to Wanwu, for its creative application of new materials includes bamboo and its advocacy of regress to the essence of life.
Song Zhong, the chief designer of Wanwu, is an architect who refuses to use complicated carving and fancy luxury fabrics but choose the classical colors, simplified architectural lines and figures to express austere lifestyle.
Another Golden Dot winner, Life First (Xian Sheng Huo) produced by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, adds some affinity to the oriental furniture. The chief designer Hao Wen wishes to create a kind of peaceful just fit atmosphere combined with traditional accents and contemporary spirits supported by the modern crafts.
Ping Ze
Xuanming Dianju is a rosewood furniture manufacturer trying to switch the serious and heavy traditional Chinese furniture into the present lifestyle. What they did is to forget the original shape and reconstruct it with new ideas.
