Orders in the first half of this year were approximately 20% higher than the record level of 734 million euros in 2017.
Recently, HOMAG, the world' s leading woodworking machinery and equipment manufacturer, released a financial report for the first half of the year, showing that the company' s order volume in the first half of the year hit a record high, far higher than the previous peak level.
This positive development is partly attributable to the new solid wood processing business unit through which HOMAG is vigorously promoting its solid wood processing equipment for the construction of wooden houses.
Compared with the 493 million euros in the first half of 2020 affected by the epidemic, the orders in the first half of this year have increased by 80% to 887 million euros. This data also exceeded the record level of 734 million euros in the same period in 2017, an increase of about 20%.
Sales increased by 19% to 557 million euros, and the order backlog also reached the highest level in history, at 844 million euros. The HOMAG Group increased its operating profit before interest and tax to 39.6 million euros, compared with 10.7 million euros in 2020.
In the first six months of 2021, the single machine business and service business of the HOMAG Group have achieved positive development. But the company' s large-scale system business is also on the road to recovery, some of which were almost suspended during the same period last year due to the raging epidemic.
