Macy's: Home furnishing products will usher in strong growth in 2021
The recovery of the US housing market is an important reason for the strong growth in demand for household products.
According to a Reuters report on February 23, Macy’s forecast on Tuesday that 2021 sales will be generally higher than Wall Street’s expectations, because the company hopes that the large-scale promotion of the vaccine will allow customers to return to its physical stores after the epidemic is under control.
Macy' s recently publicly stated that although there is still a shortage of inventory, the company expects that household products will usher in strong growth this year.
"The problem of insufficient inventory, which was previously focused on the mattress category, has been solved well. However, we still have some shortages of goods in certain home accessories and (living room) furniture." CEO Jeff Gennette said, "But we expect that sales of home-related products will maintain a relatively strong growth trend this year."
According to Refinitiv's IBES data, Macy's annual sales are expected to remain between 19.75 billion U.S. dollars and 20.75 billion U.S. dollars, while analysts' expectations are 20.13 billion U.S. dollars.
Bloomberg news on the 23rd, Macy’s CEO Jeff Gennette said that the company had added 1,000 brands last year in response to the new crown epidemic. He also said that Macy's will launch the "BACKSTAGE DICSOUNT" preferential program in 2021.
