Russia becomes the world's largest softwood exporter

Russia's softwood lumber exports rank first in the world, of which China accounts for half.

According to the latest data from the Wood Resource Quarterly, in 2019, Russia has surpassed Canada to become the world's largest exporter of softwood lumber, with annual exports of nearly 32 million cubic meters of wood, accounting for 23% of global timber transactions.
