China’s IKEA, Red Star Macalline, generated RMB 9.91 bln in first Q3
The results showed Macalline had generated revenue of RMB 9.91 billion, an increase of 29.4% and net revenue that belonged to shareholders of listed company totaled RMB 4.16 billion, up 46.5% compared with that of the same period last year.
Oct 31, 2018 - Red Star Macalline Group Corporation Ltd, a household appliance giant in China, announced its first three quarterly report for 2018, on Monday.
The results showed Macalline had generated revenue of RMB 9.91 billion, an increase of 29.4% and net revenue that belonged to shareholders of listed company totaled RMB 4.16 billion, up 46.5% compared with that of the same period last year.
Direct-sale shopping mall is Macalline's main business. Earnings made by existing direct-sale shopping malls were RMB 5.771 billion, a 10.9% increase YoY and its gross profit rate was 77.1%, growing 1.9 percent point over the same period last year.
The earnings report attributed the rapid growth, both in revenue and profits, to the robust and booming development of the company's business.
Industry insiders argued, although under a black cloud of the whole sector, achievements made by Macalline in recent years were inseparable from continuous adjustments made by the company in its framework and marketing model.
