China's Authoritative Furniture Design Award 'Gold Idea Design Award' Unveiled in FURNITURE CHINA 2018

The Golden Idea Award, co-sponsored by the China Furniture Association, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and the ELLE DECORATION Home Gallery, is an important award at the China International Furniture Fair to promote the development of the Chinese furniture industry and focus on its application. It values and protect the original designs, brand or designer of traditional elements and crafts, known as the “Red Dot” design award in China.

The Golden Idea Award, co-sponsored by the China Furniture Association, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and the ELLE DECORATION Home Gallery, is an important award at the China International Furniture Fair to promote the development of the Chinese furniture industry and focus on its application. It values and protect the original designs, brand or designer of traditional elements and crafts, known as the “Red Dot” design award in China.

Since its inception in 2014, it has gained the attention of many brands and designers and has gained a good reputation in the industry. This year, the organizer has received 453 works from 160 companies, which is enough to show the industry's attention to this award!

The Gold Idea Award is chaired by the founder and chairman of the German Red Dot Award, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec. China International Furniture Expo, founder of Maison Shanghai, Vice Chairman of China Furniture Association Wang Mingliang as Vice Chairman of the Jury. Chen Baoguang, deputy director of the China Furniture Association Expert Committee, serves as executive chairman. Sun Xinxi, Chief Content Officer of ELLE DECORATION Home Gallery, serves as Vice Chairman of the Jury.

Other members of the jury are Chen Youjian, founder of Hong Kong, China's famous designer Chen Youjian, and vice president of China Academy of Art, Hang Jian, founder and artistic director of ShangXia, Jiang Qionger, famous designer, WS World, founder of Wuji Design Wu Bin, a famous design historian and writer Peter Fiell.
