Raymond named director of operations for Pleasant Mattress

West Coast-based, third-generation mattress supplier Pleasant Mattress has appointed Russell Raymond director of operations, a newly created position.
In this role, Raymond is responsible for overseeing the company’s manufacturing operations. He reports to Rion Morgenstern, president of Pleasant Mattress.
“We thrilled to have Russell join our management team,” said Morgenstern. “His strong operations background will help us remain on task as we continue along our growth trajectory.”
Raymond joins the company with 24 years of project management and manufacturing efficiency experience. He has an extensive background in supply chain management, team building, lean manufacturing, cost reduction strategies, workflow planning, inventory control and more.
Prior to joining Pleasant, Raymond was the plant manager for Brake Parts Inc. where he managed $50 million in annual sales and was responsible for the company’s operations. Previously, he had managed factories and operations with several other companies, including D&W Fine Pack, Crest Steel, Acco Brands and Leitch.
