The 23rd edition of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair will be held from March 8-11, 2017, according to UBM Malaysia, show organizer.

The event will again be held in some 800,000 square feet of space at the Putra World Trade Center and Matrade Exhibition and Convention Center, both in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The event typically features about 500 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, and it attracts nearly 20,000 visitors from 140 countries.

Along with indoor residential furniture, the show also features contract and professional office furniture.

In 2017, the show organizers plan to designate this segment as MIFF Office to highlight the growing importance the category represents for the show and buyers. In addition, the show is expanding by about 25% to more than 1 million square feet in 2018. The expansion will occur in the nearly completed Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center, which began construction in 2012.

"MIFF is recognized as the largest furniture-related industry event in the region,” said Dato’ Dzulkifli Mahmud, CEO of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corp. “The MIFF brand has become synonymous with international buyers to Malaysia.”
