As a UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Trade Challenge Partner, The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) works hard to assist SMEs to increase their export market potential.

The LIA has achieved this through the creation of a number of UK Lighting Pavilions at trade shows around the world. These events have successfully promoted over thirty UK lighting companies to new markets and attracted UKTI funding support for those involved.

LIA UK Lighting Pavilions give lighting companies an opportunity to get seen in new markets and if eligible can also receive grants via the UKTI to help finance their stand.

At the world renowned Light+Building in Frankfurt, obtaining space and gaining approval to exhibit can be difficult for new companies entering the show for the first time. Working with UKTI and Messe Frankfurt the LIA organised the UK Lighting Pavilion, a joint stand successfully promoting UK companies.

“We were delighted with the uptake and the variety of British lighting companies that attended Light+Building 2016 and the LIA aims to return with a larger group in 2018,” comments an LIA spokesperson.

The LIA is currently taking bookings for the third LIA UK Lighting Pavilion at Light Middle East, Dubai, in October, where grants are available for eligible companies.

Companies wishing to get involved should contact the LIA directly.
