Pride Park place giveaway photoThe awarding of the company’s Park Place collection, including left- and right-arm lounge chairs, a corner unit, three armless units, an ottoman, fire pit and 20-inch side table, will follow a panel discussion on the Outdoor Room that will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the conference.
This year’s Leadership Conference theme is “Furnishing Tomorrow’s America Today” and will look at emerging trends, opportunities and challenges the industry will face in the coming years. The conference program has been designed to provide actionable insights for attending retailers who want to address the challenges of tomorrow, today.
Among the key agenda items will be a panel looking at the outdoor room as an emerging potential opportunity for furniture retailers looking to address changes in American consumer lifestyles. The panel will explore the way Americans have looked to transition their indoor lifestyles into outdoor spaces and explore actionable ways that retailers can address this trend in their stores.
A similar panel will look at the emerging issue of furniture scale. That panel, entitled “Scaling for the Home of the Future,” will look at the recent trend toward urbanization that is seeing Millennials and downsizing Baby Boomer relocating to cities and inner ring suburbs.
For furniture retailers and manufacturers, this trend offers an emerging opportunity to develop and merchandise furniture that brings new levels of functionality along with a rethinking of traditional notions of scale.
There will be a drawing following the outdoor living panel with the collection being given away to an attending retailer. Retail price of the Park Place collection is $12,999.(furnituretoday)
