New items being introduced at the International Home + Housewares Show target healthy eating, gourmet cooking and numerous additional consumer trends.


The show is in its third day and ends tomorrow.

Seen at the show:

Keurig is expanding its K200 brewer by adding seven new colors, and is displaying the General Electric refrigerator with a built-in Keurig brewer … At Lifetime, the Edgekeeper, a plastic sheath with a built-in sharpening mechanism, is a key cutlery item; kitchen storage is a big category for Farberware; Farberware’s Baker’s Advantage brand is launching nine lines of bakeware, both ceramic and metal, that it will cross merchandise with kitchen tools and gadgets; and La Cafetiere is utilizing Lifetime’s product development and category management expertise to bring innovation to the coffee and tea business … Innocor put the spotlight on its Stanley-branded collection of utility mats, which provide comfort for home do-it-yourself workers.

SodaStream’s Power Source carbonated-beverage maker, which works with less sugary beverages, is the company’s statement for the healthy-food segment … Spectrum Brands is highlighting the Black + Decker 5 Minute Pizza Oven & Snack Maker, engineered to cook a frozen pizza in five minutes … Zojirushi has updated its Fresh Brew coffeemaker with user-friendly features, such as a sleeker design to the carafe, an ergonomically friendly handle and a smaller size to fit on most

G&S Metals is launching Evenware, an initial collection of 10 bakeware items with a corrugated surface for even browning and quick release … The new Les Naturels line from Revol is a porcelain bakeware assortment geared toward the increasingly popular pastry industry. It includes roughly six shapes, from tart to loaf pans, in two neutral colorways …Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, said the prep, cook, serve and dine collection she has launched with Gibson has exceeded her expectations and is everything she dreamed it would be.

Italian cookware company TVS came to the show as a first-time exhibitor and showed several lines, including one designed by industrial designer Karim Rashid, one with a coating with a stone effect called Minerala and another that had a faceted black exterior ... Mastrad added an eclair making kit to its collection of gift sets, which include the company’s best-selling item, the macaroon making set. The company also debuted its adjustable rolling pin, a microwave fondue set and a pepper mill with LED lights.

Architec debuted its new baking brand, TSP, for Totally Sweet Products, which includes spatulas with different angles for scraping, tear-off pastry bag rolls, polypropylene bowls that look like ceramic, and a sifter for powdered sugar. In its Homegrown Gourmet line, it added DIY cheese sets for making such cheese as mozzarella and mascapone.

Swiss Diamond debuted its first stainless steel line, called Prestige Multiply. The 5 ply line is induction ready, has no interior rivets and features Swiss Diamond’s exlusive nonstick coating ... All-Clad debuted its first pressure cooker, PC8, as well as its new stainless steel line, which now features nonstick coating made in the U.S.
