Online-only mattress retailer Yogabed, which was founded by mattress industry veterans Chris Marsh and Tim Oakhill, has added sleep accessories: a metal platform base, sheets and mattress protector. It also has added a new distribution and fulfillment center in St. Louis.
The All–In-One Frame/Foundation ships in a small 40-inch by 40-inch by 6-inch box. The base retails for $349 in queen and has a 14-inch clearance allowing for underbed storage.
The base’s washable, slip-on cover provides the look of a traditional box spring foundation.
“We know that 38% of people who are buying a mattress online are buying a foundation within six months, but there has been little opportunity to buy a foundation online,” said Marsh, co-chief executive officer. “With the addition of the Yogabed All-In-One Frame/Foundation, we’re making it even easier for consumers to get everything they need for their bedroom at one place and at an incredible price.”
The five-sided mattress protector retails for $129 in queen and protects against stains, spills, allergens and dust mites. The cotton-blend sheets have a high thread count and are wrinkle-resistant. A queen set retails for $149.
