From April 1st, Heilongjiang fully stops commercial timber harvesting in the state owned forest regions. In the first quarter, the output of timber production shall not exceed 70% of the plan in 2014.
Heilongjiang Forest Industry Region is the largest state-owned forest, since the implementation of natural forest protection project, especially since the Natural Forest Protection Project Phase.
II started, forest timber production in 2013 was 4.1 million cubic meters reduced to 894,000 cubic meters.
In the meantime, the timber import to China declined substantially because the restriction of export from Indonesia, Myanmar and some African countries, together with the higher currency exchange rate and freight cost, causes the going up timber price in China market.
Reports forecast that the retail prices of wood furniture and floor will increase by 15%~20% annually.
