In this regard, the Chinese industry generally believes that Gree's use of the Harmony system is of great significance to the Chinese home appliance market.
It is understood that many domestic home appliance companies have announced access to the Harmony system. Midea, another home appliance giant, has been cooperating with Huawei for a longer period of time, and after the launch of Harmony, it has also made it clear that it will be connected.
In response to investor enquiries, Midea stated that nearly 200 Harmony products will be on the shelves throughout the year, and millions of Midea products equipped with the Harmony system will be available to the market. Huawei' s own mall Vmall will set up a Harmony area to provide Midea with exclusive resources.
In addition, Chinese smartphone company Meizu also stated that it will use the Harmony system in its smart home product group.
It is understood that on June 2nd, Huawei officially released a new generation of smart terminal operating system HarmonyOS 2 and a number of new products equipped with HarmonyOS 2. Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei's consumer business software department, said that Harmony is not going to be another Android, but an IoT operating system. "We hope to use a set of operating systems to solve the problems of all IoT hardware equipment carrying systems. Hardware manufacturers do not need to cut or find a new system to install when producing different hardware." Wang Chenglu believes that, more importantly, HarmonyOS provides All application developers provide a distributed programming framework, allowing everyone to use a high-level language familiar to them, and the business logic that is written only once can be run on all devices, so as to maximize the sharing of the ecology on each isolated device.
At the same time, Huawei has spared no effort to invest in research and development resources. Yu Chengdong, the head of Huawei's consumer business, once said that Huawei has invested hundreds of thousands of R&D personnel and more than 100 billion yuan in HarmonyOS.
