From January to February 2021, China's furniture export growth exceeds 80%
The growth rate of export volume of real estate chain products was significantly higher than that of epidemic prevention materials
The General Administration of Customs of the people's Republic of China has released the accumulated import and export data from January to February this year. The main information related to the export of some furniture is as follows (in US dollars):
The cumulative export value of furniture and its parts from January to February was 11 billion, an increase of 81.7% over the same period of 2020 (year-on-year).
In addition to furniture, from January to February, the export volume of textiles was 22.1 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 60.8%; that of lamps was 7.82 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 122.1%; that of ceramics was 4.09 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 76.6%.
China's total import and export value was 834.49 billion, an increase of 41.2%. Among them, the export was 468.87 billion yuan, up 60.6%; the import was 365.62 billion yuan, up 22.2%; the trade surplus was 103.25 billion yuan, up from 7.21 billion yuan in the same period last year.
From January to February, the import and export performance was significantly higher than expected. According to the General Administration of customs, the import and export of foreign trade in the first two months increased significantly, "not in the off-season", continuing the trend of positive import and export from negative since June last year.
