Vietnam's wood products and forest products exports will exceed 12.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2020

In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of timber and forest products amounted to approximately US$8.97 billion

According to statistics from the General Administration of Forestry, in the first nine months of this year, the export value of Vietnam's timber and forest products reached approximately US$8.97 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12%. It is estimated that in 2020, Vietnam's exports of wood products and forest products will exceed 12.5 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 18% year-on-year. The main export markets of Vietnamese timber companies are the United States, Japan, China, the European Union and South Korea. Despite the severe impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Vietnam’s timber industry has achieved breakthroughs in its export activities thanks to various free trade agreements.
