Unbounded Retail: JD.COM x Qumei to Build Digital Home Store

JD x Qumei's “Fashion Life Experience Museum” is a new trial for JD.COM to implement the concept “Unbounded Retail” into the furniture industry and build the digital home store. It mainly concerns 3 aspects: Scientific and technological enablement, Big data selection and Immersive experience.

June 16, the first Digital Home Store “Fashion Life Experience Museum” launched by JD.COM and Qumei has officially opened in Beijing. The vice-president of JD Group, president of the fashion business department, Hu Shengli and president of Qumei Home Furnishing Group, Zhao Ruihai both attended the ceremony of opening.

 

JD x Qumei's “Fashion Life Experience Museum” is a new trial for JD.COM to implement the concept “Unbounded Retail” into the furniture industry and build the digital home store. As to the different consumption needs, there are 8 distinguished model rooms in the store. The technological elements are easy to discover, virtual shelf, e-tags of price, virtual trial of clothes, etc, attracts lots of clients to experience.

 

According to working member of JD.COM, in this 3000 ㎡ experience museum, 16 technologies have been applied, including TAKE technology, Smart camera, Virtual trial of clothes. Due to those technologies, the consummers could shop and purchase by themselves without the help of shopping guide.

This trial of cooperation between JD.COM and Qumei will enforce the concept of "Unbounded Retail" which was firstly annouced by Liu Qiangdong, CEO of JD Group. In the future, with the help of Unbounded Retail by JD.COM, China furniture industry will focus on how to break the boundaries of shopping places and hardware conditions.
