What is the relationship between fan and furniture? Liang Zhitian, the famous designer, responds: The works of this Fair replayed the elements of fan in the modern way so as to present the lifestyle filled with cultural and elegant tastes.

For the armchair, the designer gets inspiration from circular fan and symbolizes the auspice and reunion worshiped by the Chinese in the shape of moon. It is hollowed out in the middle part. Through the engineering combination of leathering and wood structure, it shows the elegant life attitude with the gracefulness of the circular fan in which the chamfer is manually made and the leather face is supported by rebar keel.

The coffee table is composed of 124 wood structures. Each wood structure presents different length and radian. The elements required need manual polish by master workers. Water paint is needed to maintain the original color of wood.

Huari Home Furnishing: Bring Two Pieces of Cloud to Milan

There is a sentence in The Book of Changes: Cloud follows the dragon; clouds rise as the dragon does. Since the mid and late period of Zhou Dynasty, the decoration style centered by cloud textures has been gradually formed in Chu Area. In the eyes of the ancient people, cloud is the symbol of auspice and advancement and is the nature of the holy heaven.

The change of material is not the sole highlight of Huari in Milan Fair; the key design concept is “cloud”. Huari attends Milan Expo for the first time. What it brings are two modern fashionable chairs with the style of round-backed armchair which takes the auspicious cloud as the design element; one is named “auspicious cloud” and the other “dreamy cloud”.

The dreamy cloud chair means “watching the rise of clouds is the starting point of dream”. It turns the changeable auspicious cloud to 3D modeling with stainless steel materials and makes it as the entire back of the chair. In the middle part is placed a steel pipe with red paint, as if a dragon flies in it.

“Making the furniture of Ming style fashionable” is the design concept of an auspicious-cloud chair. It has the chair body with the curves of auspicious clouds and combines the wooden chair body with the light-toned lint, making the model of circular chair meet the Macaron and giving us the huge space of imagination. The armrest of the chair is the curved model of the auspicious cloud, thus giving us the sense of fluency.

An auspicious-cloud chair combines the features of Ming-style furniture, the traditional cultural meaning of the auspicious clouds and the fashionable Macaron, which is of great harmony. It expresses both the Chinese culture and modern and fashion style.

Beson Furniture: Inheritance and Innovation

Lin Fuyuan in Beson sincerely cooperated with Lin Xueming and Shi Yawen this time, how would be the final works? This would be the mixture texture of metal, wood and leather, among which metal is most impressive being regarded as a punch line.

Design concept: "Mingxin", is an interpretation of present Ming style. Xin means jasmine, which can make euphony. Wood furniture does not make sound itself, while it can after adding copper. The product owns the connotation of Ming style, utilizing a new way of deconstruction in aspects such as material structure, which reflects the inheritance and combination of culture and new life style.

"We want to change a kind of false understanding of over-consumption of solid wood in China through the production of this product. Mixing of metal and solid wood, which is different from the traditional material, expresses the modern (modern decoration effect picture) Chinese people's aesthetic temperament and interest and attitude towards environmental protection", Lin Xueming said.

The design prototype is from the traditional toys of Han Dynasty and it is named "diabolo" due to the inside hollow wheel and bamboo flute. Shi Yawen also hopes that the product can make people comfortable and express the life philosophy of pursuing freedom.

Camerich Furniture: Fall in Love Happily in Milan

"The indifferent attitude will renew mind, and one should ignore the noise outside", Camerich cooperated with stylist Ju Bin, Chen Darui, heading to Milan for a happy "love".

The design concept of companion is sitting and lying, which means that staying together is eternal; Semicircle concave arc fits skin and texture, so people can lean on it, depend on it and lie on it. The lateral palletized enables people to use it easily. Tall-leg chair expresses dangling, light condition. About this "standing up", Ju Bin wants to convey the message of the oriental philosophy, which is present pluralistic values the land. Of course, it contains looking back on the contemporary transformation of traditional culture and life thinking.

The curve of chair body is fluent, and the material adopts chamois, feeling soft, with bright and lively color. About this product they cooperated, Chen Darui generalizes it as follows: "Sometimes design is the discovery of life", for "standing up", Chen Darui believes that innovation must be used to change the state of nationality. Only through innovation can the problem be solved.

BEKING Furniture: Integration of Chinese and Western

BEKING Furniture-"Real German style" cooperated with young designers- Pangxi and Sun Jianhua in this "Standing up" activity. Living in Suzhou for a long time, PangXi has the special opinion of life style of Chinese people, while Sun Jianhua has the experience of study abroad. Sun deep sentimentally attaches to Chinese culture and more understands how westerners view the Oriental culture.

Sun Jianhua believes that, in daily life, the visual center of the communication between people is in general concentrated in the middle of the sitting room such as tea tables, namely life style is expression of culture. Presenting this form finally just tends to be more in line with the modern life", designer Pang Xi said, the experience of two people sitting cross-legged sitting or side sitting on the couch drinking tea is the best way to represent the elements of China.

Landbond Furniture: Three Elites Use Abacus

Du Zehua, helm of Landbond Group cooperated with international famous designer Liang Jinghua, Hong Kong, China famous stylist He Zongxian, thinking of making use of abacus, and finally bringing up tea table and chair furniture.

In a process of watching movies, Liang Jinghua was touched by using abacus in the movie scene, since then he had the design idea of creating exhibition in Milan. The abacus was invented as an ancient version of the calculator by our ancestors, which has a long history. In Liang's view, these beads on the abacus have a lot of power, it can not only count but also massage.

The work designed by He Zongxian emphasizes the touch of space and the human body. "When sitting on abacus beads, acupuncture points of body can be stimulated by every bead, so as to produce different touch feeling. He hopes to express another angle of the Oriental culture through works."
