Chengdu Administration Renovate Home Furnishing Market Vigorously and Withdraw 1526 Unqualified Commodities from the Market.

 

Journalist of NEWSC.org learnt from the Chengdu Administration for Industry and Commerce that 23 unlicensed business owners were banned and 1526 unqualified commodities were withdrawn from the market during the special renovation action on furniture, building and decorating materials launched by Chengdu industry and commerce system a few days ago.


Related officials of the Chengdu Administration for Industry and Commerce introduced that the special renovation action on furniture, building and decorating materials launched by the Chengdu Administration for Industry and Commerce all across the city from August 15, 2015 to October 20. The special renovation action checked 347 furniture and building material wholesale markets and stores in total, renovated 69 key areas, banned 23 unlicensed business owners as well as registered, investigated and treated illegal operating behaviors involved in crooked promotion and selling unqualified commodities, etc. It limited such illegal behaviors as selling false furniture and decorating materials, crooked promotion and "free-ride". Main measures:


It was learned that the rectification focused on such places as professional markets, home furnishing stores, hypermarkets and network trading platforms, such commodities as furniture and decorating materials, among which, 290 batches in different commercial qualities were spot checked. In addition, the special renovation action on furniture and decorating materials, including kids furniture and solid wood flooring, in which, 1526 unqualified commodities were removed off the shelves and withdrawn from the market.

 

Meanwhile, give full play to 12315 Complaint and Report Network, post up "12315" labels in concentrated places as decorating materials stores and large-scale furniture stores to encourage people to report illegal behaviors including producing and selling forged and fake furniture and decorating materials, etc. During renovation, 258 complaints and reports on furniture and decoration were accepted and RMB 630,800 economic loss was retrieved for consumers.
