This is a magic chair, without legs, backrest or handrails, only has a seat face.

My inspiration comes from the magic imagination of riding a broom in the childhood, and starting from the sitting posture of “flying broom”, it redefines the relationship between the man and chair. It changes the style of traditional seats for it can use any rigid bar to support itself in its center, and man’s legs and the chair can fit perfectly and act as applied force for each other and keep balanced so that the user seems to ride a “flying broom”.

The design I want must be warm and emotional

JJGLE: Can you introduce your design inspiration or your design style?

My inspiration comes from each moment of the life just as fall in love with a girl I like at the first sight. I will reach the girl who I love, and I will also catch the good inspirations. In design, I pay the closest attention to the relationship between man and things and the emotions. Actually, the essence of design is to coordinate and create the connections between the human beings and the world, and design came into being based on the human development and will return to the human beings finally. The design I want must be warm and emotional, and it will be integrated to the people’s life and walk into the inner heart of each user.

I want to do more designs for children and teenagers

JJGLE: What is the market orientation of the products designed by you? Who are the main user groups? What is the most important requirement of the users you want to meet?

Currently, the most of my designs face to the users aged 9 – 35, and I hope that my works can be full of vigor and vitality. If possible, I want to do more designs for the children and teenagers, and I hope that my works can make friends with them and become a part of their growth.

JJGLE: What do you think of the current domestic home furnishing market?

In my opinion, the current domestic furniture market has still been mixed with too many interests and practical factors, and I think the design and especially the furniture design should be more pure. Now that it is “home furnishing”, we should pay more attention to the experience and emotions.

JJGLE: What are your greatest difficulty and greatest harvest while studying design?

I am a sentimental person and I like to treat the design from the perspective of a human, so it is difficult for me to balance the contradictions between the essence of design and commercialization. I do not like that the pure and beautiful things are invaded and harassed by the filth of the market and environment, and I still hope the design can be more pure. My greatest harvest should be that I realize that I can be considered as a designer with a dream under the strong impact of ideal and reality.
