Investment of 21 million US dollars, Purple' s 50,000 square meters new plant put into production
This factory will continue to expand to 79,000 square meters in the next two years.
On August 4, Purple Innovation, Inc., an innovative mattress e-commerce company, announced that its new 500,000-square-foot (approximately 47,000 square meters) plant in Henry County, Georgia, USA, was completed and officially put into production with an investment of 21 million US dollars.
Local officials and Purple executives participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This factory is Purple' s first factory on the East Coast outside of its headquarters in Utah.
Prior to production, Purple and Georgia have jointly announced that they will continue to expand their business in the region in the next two years and plan to add more than 500 new jobs.
The factory will also be expanded to nearly 850,000 square feet (approximately 79,000 square meters).
The expansion will include a large customer service center, which is scheduled to start operations in the spring of 2022.
As Purple adds more proprietary manufacturing machines, Mattress Max Machines, the expansion will further increase production capacity.
