U.S. furniture retail store sales fell 66% year-on-year in April

US retail sales fell in April compared to March.

According to the National Retail Monthly Report released by the US Department of Commerce on May 15, US retail sales in April fell 16.4% month-on-month from March, the largest decline since 1992. Compared with the same period last year, retail sales fell by 21.6% year-on-year. Among them, in April, the number of furniture and household goods stores still operating in the United States decreased by two-thirds. The April retail sales of furniture and household goods stores were US $ 3.3 billion, a decrease of 59% month-on-month and 66.5% year-on-year.
