In January-February 2020, Vietnam ’s wood and wood products imports fell by 14% year-on-year

Vietnam ’s imports of wood and wood products have fallen compared with the same period last year.

According to data released by the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), from January to February 2020, Vietnam ’s total imports of wood and wood products were US $ 329.6 million, a 14% decrease from the same period last year; A 43% decline, a 38% decline in imports from Chile, a 20% decline in the EU, and a 8% decline in the United States, while wood and wood products imports from China and Laos increased by 43% and 16%, respectively.
