From November 5 to10, the Second China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai. As the world's leading furniture and household goods retailer, IKEA's re-appearance in China International Import Expo, with the theme of "Livable Future Home", showcased and shared IKEA's sustainable development ideas, innovative practices and solutions at the Science and Technology Life Museum, further demonstrating its commitment to ploughing deep into the Chinese market and creating more value for the Chinese market.

At the Expo, IKEA exhibited a number of home products designed for a "healthy and sustainable life" based on the concept of recycling, such as seal bags made of bioplastics extracted from sugar cane, chairs made of innovative recycled wood-plastic composites, cabinet door panels made of recycled wood and recycled plastic, and so on. IKEA aims to achieve 100% recyclability by 2030.

China is one of IKEA's most important markets in the world. From the opening of the first shopping mall in mainland of China in 1998 to its rapid development and expansion in recent years, IKEA has witnessed and participated in the social and economic take-off of China and deepened its commitment to the Chinese market. In August this year, IKEA held a strategic press conference in Beijing, announcing its "future +" development strategy for the next three years to promote the development of IKEA China. With the concept of "Creating in China, for China and with China", IKEA will give full play to its advantages as a home life expert by focusing on diversified channels and digital innovation. In this exhibition, IKEA also brought its innovative concept of digital smart home life and new exploration in business model.
