On May 31, 2019, the World Furniture Confederation Working Meeting was held in Chengdu.

Xu Xiangnan, president of the Asian Furniture Confederation and chairman of the China National Furniture Association, was elected president of the World Furniture Confederation. The Vice President and Secretary General of the Asian Furniture Confederation and the Vice Chairman of the China National Furniture Association, Tu Yu, has be served as Secretary General of the World Furniture Federation. Casey Loo, Adviser of the Asian Furniture Confederation and Vice President of the International Furniture Publications Alliance, is selected to be a consultant to the World Furniture Confederation. Representatives of government agencies, industry organizations and relevant institutions from more than 40 countries around the world from Asia, Europe, America and Africa all attended the meeting.

At the meeting, national institutions signed a confirmation letter from the World Furniture Confederation, and 45 institutions became members of the World Furniture Confederation. Members of the world fully discussed the charter of the World Furniture Confederation (draft) and voted for Xu Xiangnan as the chairman of the World Furniture Conederation.
