According to reports, IKEA is advancing the process of its Tradfri series of smart home products. After the IKEA $10 smart socket was leaked, another FCC data showed that IKEA is currently developing an opening and closing remote control that can be used to operate electric smart blinds.

At present, IKEA's Tradfri product line is limited to smart lighting products, but from the point of view of the leak, the company is rapidly establishing a complete home automation system.

Previously, Tradfri products have been compatible with HomeKit, Alexa and Assistant, so this new smart shutter product is very likely to support voice control. If this is the case, then IKEA will undoubtedly become a dark horse in the smart home field.

From the current market conditions, electric blinds are expensive, ranging from $300 to $400, while home automation tools that convert ordinary blinds into smart shutters cost about $140. Although we don't know how much IKEA's smart blinds are priced, from their consistent tonality, they should also be inexpensive products.
